In a display of sheer dominance, the St. Ignatius Wildcats Varsity Softball team demolished Presentation 11-0 on Wednesday, combining explosive offense with impeccable pitching to secure a commanding win.

The Wildcats' bats came alive in the second inning when Vicky Carrillo-Marchetti delivered a clutch single to drive in two runs, igniting what would become an offensive showcase. Carrillo-Marchetti, the standout performer batting from the seven-hole, finished a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBIs.

St. Ignatius continued to build their lead in the third inning with a well-executed offensive sequence featuring Julie Galarza's productive ground out, another RBI single from Carrillo-Marchetti, and Sasha Vassar's booming double.

The floodgates opened in the fourth inning as the Wildcats poured on five more runs. Gianna Galarza electrified the home crowd with a towering solo shot to center field, demonstrating the power that makes her one of the league's most feared hitters. The relentless attack continued with RBI singles from Julie Galarza and Carrillo-Marchetti, followed by a run-scoring groundout from Samantha Goethals and another run crossing the plate on a Presentation defensive miscue.

While the offense stole the headlines, freshman Olivia Dollard was nothing short of spectacular in the circle. The right-hander delivered a masterclass in pitching efficiency, tossing five perfect innings with seven strikeouts and no walks to earn the complete-game shutout. Dollard also contributed at the plate, collecting multiple hits to help her own cause.

Delilah Berry and Julie Galarza joined Dollard and Carrillo-Marchetti with multi-hit performances as St. Ignatius racked up an impressive 14 hits total.

The Wildcats will travel to face league rival, Saint Francis, on Friday.
