Both teams were strong on the bump on Tuesday, but the St. Ignatius Wildcats defeated Granada Varsity Matadors 2-0. Chase Gordon started the game for Wildcats and recorded 12 outs.

St. Ignatius got on the board in the first inning after AJ Wineinger singled, scoring one run.

The Wildcats added one run in the second after Archer Horn singled to center field.

Gordon earned the win for St. Ignatius. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking two. Mason Ravera led things off on the bump for Granada Varsity Matadors. The starter surrendered four hits and two runs over two innings, striking out one and walking two. Horn collected the save. Spencer Guido pitched one inning of shutout ball for the Wildcats in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits, striking out one and walking two.

Horn set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading St. Ignatius with two hits in four at bats. DJ Delaney stole two bases.
