Bio:
Coach Saga has been honored to serve as the Head Volleyball Coach at St. Ignatius since 2022. Prior to joining SI, he was an Assistant Coach for the University of San Francisco's Women’s Volleyball and Sand teams. He also spent 13 years as the Head Coach of the Women’s Volleyball team at City College of San Francisco.
As one of the founders and Director of SF Elite Volleyball Club, Coach Saga led his 14U team to qualify for the Junior National Championships in 2024, with his 14U Boys team securing a 5th place finish at the event.
A former Middle Blocker at San Francisco State University, Coach Saga later transitioned into an Outside Hitter and Setter while playing in Santa Barbara, USAV, and NAGVA, where he earned numerous tournament victories and National Championship medals as an adult player.
