Bio:
John Roberts was named Varsity Head Coach of the SI Men's Water Polo program in April 2022. Before becoming Varsity Head Coach, Roberts served as the JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant during the 2021 season. In his first season as Varsity Head Coach, Roberts led SI to a CCS DII Championship, followed by a victory in the NorCal State Championship that same year.
Alongside his work at St. Ignatius, he also coaches the 16U team for the San Francisco Water Polo Club. In October 2023, Roberts joined the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program as a Cadet Team Assistant Coach.
Roberts played at Concordia University Irvine, where he was a four-year member of the men's water polo team and served as team captain in his senior season. He graduated from CUI in 2019 with a degree in Communication.
