Bio:
Lance Wong has led the SI Women's Varsity Golf Team as Head Coach since Fall of 2000, bringing over 20 years of golf instruction experience and a passion for coaching junior golfers. He instructed golf at City College of San Francisco from 2000 to 2021 and has been the Head Coach of George Washington High School’s Men’s Golf Team since Spring of 2018. Lance's dedication to junior golf earned him the CIF Distinguished Service Award in 2006. He was a PGA of America member from 1993 to 2013. A San Francisco native, Lance played varsity golf at Abraham Lincoln High School and was awarded AAA First Team All-League. Lance was also a varsity football player. In addition to coaching golf, Lance’s company, Yugi Golf Management, currently operates Lincoln Park Golf Course in the Richmond District of San Francisco. Lincoln Park is the home golf course to all San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) men’s and women’s high school golf teams and hosts all the season matches including the playoffs and finals. Every July, Lincoln Park Golf Course is the host of the San Francisco Junior Tournament which began in 1930. Lance and his wife, Sandra, have two daughters, Kai and Reiko.
