Wildcats Shine at Chase Center, Women Secure Bruce-Mahoney Sweep
On Friday, January 16, St. Ignatius men's and women's varsity basketball took the floor at Chase Center for the annual Bruce-Mahoney Basketball Doubleheader against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory.
Entering the night, the Wildcats already held a 2–0 advantage in the Bruce-Mahoney Series following victories in volleyball and football. The women's game tipped off first, with the Wildcats finding their rhythm in the second quarter and pulling away for a convincing 61–43 win. The victory secured the Bruce-Mahoney sweep and ensured the Trophy will remain in the Sunset District for another year.

The men followed with a dominant performance of their own, earning a 72–42 win and pushing the Bruce-Mahoney Series margin to 4–0.

Both Wildcat squads will look to carry this momentum into league play as they prepare for the upcoming Archbishop Riordan doubleheader at the University of San Francisco on January 27th.
