The St. Ignatius Wildcats defeated Sacred Heart Cathedral 3-2 (20-25, 18-25, 25-19, 25-17, 15-10) on Tuesday night, securing the lead in the first game of the Bruce-Mahoney Series. After losing the first two sets, the Wildcats staged an epic comeback in front of a sold-out crowd at USF's War Memorial Gymnasium.
St. Ignatius has never lost a Bruce-Mahoney Volleyball matchup since the addition of Women's Volleyball and Women's Basketball to the series in 2021.
Next in the Bruce-Mahoney Series is the SI vs. SHC football game at Kezar Stadium on Friday, November 1st, at 5:00 pm. Ticket sales will open closer to the game day.
